CareGivers The Israeli Organization for Family Caregivers
Caregivers Israel The Israeli Organization for Caring Family Members was established in 2014 to promote awareness, recognition and services for one and a half million Israelis who accompany, support and care for a close person dealing with illness, a functional decline due to old age or disability. The organization is a nonprofit organization.
The organization leads a vision in which caring family members receive recognition and appreciation, rights and the rules that enable them to continue in their roles as supporters while maintaining their health and quality of life. Bringing this vision from power to the executive is done through education and advocacing among the public and elected officials, promoting legislation and policy, and developing evidence-based services.
Caregivers Israel was founded by Rachel Ledani, caregiver and social entrepreneur. The team, which includes leading experts with extensive personal and professional experience in the field, operates with a deep commitment to leading a significant change in the field.
The association operates an array of counseling and support for caring family members. The array is a professional address for information, services, rights extraction and emotional support. The service was given by telephone by volunteers and volunteers who were trained to do so. The service is free of charge.
