Thanks to the Human Rights Center for people with Disabilities, it is the leading and veteran organization in Israel that promotes the rights of people with all kinds of with disabilities in all areas of life.

The organization’s activities include free private assistance, for about 2,000 months; Transferring workshops and training for people with disabilities, family members and professionals; Extensive legal activity, which includes among other legislative initiatives, the filing of precedent-giving petitions and policy monitoring; Development of innovative models, accompanied by research; Publication of handouts, post papers and policy reports; Leading coalitions of organizations and partners in decision-makers committees.

Among the achievements of the Organization: the Law of equality and the promotion of the equal rights for people with disabilities, including the most advanced accessibility of its kind in the world; Leading a revolution in the field of legal training, which is the essence of the guardianship beyond the alternatives that maintain a person’s right to make decisions about his life; Promoting legislation and submitting a series of petitions to promote the right of children with special needs to study in ordinary schools; Promoting legislation and the transfer of kashrut to thousands of judges and professionals to conduct investigative and trial systems for people with intellectual, mental and autism disabilities; Publication of a report that led to a reduction of about 80% in the rate of restrictions in psychiatric hospitals and more.

His activities were awarded with a variety of prizes, such as the Sussman-Joint prize for excellence in social services, the Gurney Prize for Public Law, the ZERO Prize and the effectiveness of the measurements.

In order to maintain its independence, the organization does not receive funds from the state. Its activities are possible thanks to the support of funds and private individuals.
