Tongu is a unique computer-language interface that allows users to manipulate digital devices (such as a smartphone, a computer, a wheelchair, and a smart house) using the tongue-without relying on the hands at all.

The tongue is of a natural orientation within the oral cavity that enables intuitive control of the device, is able to perform actions over time without getting tired and even in severe cases of spinal injury and neuroinstitutional diseases.

Tens of millions of people around the world have limited ability to use hands and fingers following a variety of medical conditions. This situation transforms every daily action into a challenge, including the activation of digital devices such as a riveting-act that is taken for granted for most of us, but without it the modern person is disconnected from the world.

The project was funded by the Innovation Authority, developed a working beta version, won prizes and is currently in recruitment and Pyrotacas.
